For its fifth annual Workplace Learning Report, the online education platform LinkedIn Learning surveyed more than 1,200 learning and development (L&D) professionals and nearly 900 learners. The top skills for 2021 were found to be – 

  1. Resilience and adaptability

  2. Technological skills and digital fluency

  3. Communication across remote or distributed teams

  4. Emotional intelligence

  5. Cross-functional collaboration

The government has proposed to track female graduates of the skills mission programs to gauge if it is leading to positive outcomes in female participation in the labour force and career progression. The initiative is aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 and 8, related to gender equality and decent work.
