General Duty Assistants (GDA)

General Duty Assistant (GDA), a short-term training programme, focuses on providing patient care in a safe, suitable environment. Some of the key responsibilities of a GDA are to help a patient perform basic activities of daily living (ADLs) emphasising on patient’s daily personal care, comfort, safety, and health needs. A GDA also helps patients in ensuring optimal nutrition and plays a key role in the overall recovery of the patient.
