Project Coordinator

As the Implementation Lead for Skill Development Programs in Raigad District, primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the execution of skill development initiatives aimed at empowering individuals in rural communities with relevant skills for employment and livelihood opportunities. Will work closely with the Centre Head, Mobilizers, Client, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the programs and the achievement of project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as social sciences, rural development, education, or business administration). A master’s degree in social work would be a plus.

  • Proven experience in implementing and managing skill development programs, preferably in rural or community development contexts.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and dynamics of rural communities and their specific skill requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills
  • Fair understanding of The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).
  • Familiarity with various skill domains and industries relevant to rural employment.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating activities within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, trainers, and employers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and facilitate effective program implementation.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Mobilization:
    • Develop and implement strategies to mobilize individuals from 5 blocks of Raigad District to participate in skill development programs.
    • Conduct outreach activities, including community meetings, awareness campaigns, and door-to-door visits, to generate interest and promote program enrolment.
    • Collaborate with local community leaders, NGOs, and other organizations to build relationships and leverage existing networks for mobilization efforts.
  2. Program Implementation:
    • Develop a detailed implementation plan for skill development programs in 5 blocks of Raigad, considering project goals, timelines, and available resources.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and trainers to ensure the smooth execution of program activities.
    • Oversee the delivery of training modules and monitor the progress of participants throughout the program.
    • Identify and address any implementation challenges or issues that may arise during the program.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, NGOs, and employers.
    • Collaborate with local communities to understand their specific skill needs and ensure that the programs align with their requirements.
    • Organize regular meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions with stakeholders to gather input and address concerns.
  4. Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of trainers, facilitators, and support staff involved in the implementation of skill development programs.
    • Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members to ensure their professional growth and the quality of program delivery.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
    • Coordinate with HR and Recruit new Staff in case of vacant positions.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness and impact of the skill development programs.
    • Regularly monitor program activities, track progress, and collect relevant data on participant performance, attendance, and feedback.
    • Analyze program data and generate reports on program outcomes, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
    • Utilize evaluation findings to make data-driven decisions and implement necessary program adjustments.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, including participant information, training materials, and evaluation results.
    • Share weekly and monthly reports with the client regularly.
    • Attend weekly and monthly meetings and make presentations on the project’s progress.
    • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines set by funding agencies, partners, and organizational guidelines.
